1000 - 1030 hrs Overview of Hardware software co-design  practices
1030 -1130 hrs Configuring the soft processor on FPGAs. Exporting total design to VHDL
(Processor as component in top VHDL module).
1145 - 1300 hrs Bus protocols and interfacing techniques on Soft and Hard processors(GPIOs, Serial port, SPI, Ethernet)

Single chip FPGA based SDR where, on chip processor realizing data and
control interface upto 2 Mbps link speed.
        Present day military systems are dominant of FPGA based hardware. In most of
the EW systems processing is carried out in VHDL (hardware), where there is no necessity of
separate processor. However since any system requires control and data interfaces, usually a
separate processor is used, resulting in increased power cost and complexity.  Present day
FPGAs offer soft /hard processor cores(ARM9 on Zynq) on FPGA itself. EW designers can take
up several projects towards single chip implementation by adopting this design practice. This one
day workshop is aimed to introduce hardware software co-design practice on latest FPGA
platforms. The participants need to have only basic background knowledge about
VHDL/Verilog HDL.
